A birthday party venue can do a lot of things. It can set the mood, determine the theme and even the number of guests who attend. If you’re scratching your head, trying to figure out where to host your child’s party, these venues are sure to please:

1. Parramatta Park
A short walk from Parramatta and Westmead railway stations, Parramatta Park is a terrific venue. The 85-hectare parkland has everything from playgrounds to tea rooms. You can use the free BBQ facilities and sheltered picnic areas. Party guests will love being outdoors with plenty of space to run around. For parties with thirty-five guests and over, you will need to book. This can be done easily via the online system.

2. North Sydney Community Centre
The North Sydney Community Centre offers five large rooms of varying sizes. There is also an outdoor playground area for when the kids need fresh air. Room hire is reasonably priced starting at an hourly rate of $55 (minimum booking is three hours for most rooms). Rooms include tables, chairs, heating/fan and Wi-Fi connection. An indoor venue will mean the party can go ahead rain, hail or shine.

3. Centennial Park
Centennial Park is one of Sydney’s favourite meeting spots. The parklands offer unlimited picnic areas which can be used without booking. There are also 11 picnic spots which can be reserved if you want to make sure you have a space for the big day. There’s also bike riding, rollerblading, playgrounds and even horse riding on offer. Do be aware that Centennial Park is large! Be clear on the exact party location to avoid any lost guests.

4. Luna Park
Guests are sure to be grinning as they enter through the famous smiling face of Luna Park. This venue can host children’s birthday parties. Party packages include a party room, unlimited rides for each guest, food for kids and adults and a special appearance from themuch-loved characters, Lunabob and Lunabelle. Luna Park will always be a crowd pleaser and a stress-free option for the grown-ups.

5. Home
Hosting a kid’s party at home can offer the opportunity to create an event exactly to the birthday boy or girl’s liking. You can get really creative with the space and your theme. Think about the kitchen for a cooking class party, the lounge can be turned into a cinema or what about tents in the backyard for a safari party!

If hiring a venue, be sure you have all the information you need. Ask about bond fees, times you can access the venue, parking options and a point of contact on the day for any emergencies. If hiring an entertainer or caterer also run this by the venue as they may require public liability cover or other paper work to be signed before the day.
